About a half hour ago Guinsoo posted the tweet you see pictured. It sounds to me like there’s another emo skin on the way to pair up with Emumu. The real question: is it a skin for an existing champion or something for the new champ? Could it be a mummy skin for whoever is set to release next Tuesday?
This is coming a little late in the cycle, but here are the skins we can expect this week. Granted, the release of Vandal Vladimir, who I’ve also included here, might delay one of these releases.
Personally, I love that Lumberjack skin. It makes me really want to get back into Sion. I haven’t played him in a long time – before the Cryptic Gaze speed buff most likely – so maybe I’ll revisit him.
I’d like to see a little more creativity from the Xin Zhao skins. At some point Pantheon and Xin are just going to collide and share skins if we keep going for every historical, spear-wielding archetype out there.
It was hard to tell from the Pharaoh Nidalee splash screen, but it looks like Nidalee is finally going to embrace her ethnic roots and stop bleaching her skin. Bet you weren’t expecting this kind of post for a skin announcement.
Seriously, though, for as much time as people playing LoL spend bitching about engorged female attributes, the community completely ignores the fact that every human character is white. We can’t really count Ryze because he’s blue (even his human skin looks white in game). Finally, the jungle huntress is going to be black in game if you’re willing to spend ~$8 on the skin (I’m a sucker for Nidalee skins).
Riot also released Sailor Gangplank at long last, which means Deathkni…er…Dreadknight, yeah that’s it, Dreadknight Garen is on hold for the time being. Maybe they’re giving him back his left hand.
As with every patch, this one includes a couple mid-cycle skins that should release early next week. As you can see above, we’ve got Dreadknight Garen. Nidalee players can also get excited about Pharaoh Nidalee, whose cat form is a Siamese cat, as pictured below.
Personally, I would have liked to see Garen get a helmet of some kind for the whole ‘knight’ part of the skin. As it is, he kinda looks like a futuristic version of himself. The Nidalee skin looks pretty sweet, though.
The official Caitlyn bundles and champion skins included in her patch have been announced. For the Sheriff of Piltover you’ll be able to purchase Sheriff Cait…wait, what? Yes, the Sheriff has a purchasable Sheriff Caitlyn skin. It’s a good looking skin, but why on earth isn’t that her default? Her second skin is Resistance Caitlyn, which also looks really nice.
We finally get to see Surgeon Shen and, at his side, looking sexy as ever, Nurse Akali. A short note on that – Look at Nurse Akali’s outfit. It’s hot, and yet her nipples aren’t on the verge of springing loose from her top. Riot, pay attention when the artist responsible for that skin has ideas on other champions. Caitlyn seriously looks like you chopped off Sona’s top half and pasted it onto a different pair of legs.
