      Snowdown Showdown skins and Cassiopeia bundles announced

      Winter is officially here, folks. Well, officially officially it begins December 21st, but Riot’s got the Snowdown Showdown ready to go, and that’s close enough for me. This year brings a new batch of very cool skins along with the new champion, Cassiopeia, and her own skin bundles.

      I’ve got Riot’s full gallery for your perusal here. Snowdown Showdown skins will include:
      -Santa Gragas
      -Reindeer Kog’Maw
      -Silent Night Sona
      -Nutcracko
      -Re-Gift Amumu
      -Ragdoll Poppy
      -Candy Cane Miss Fortune

      I think my favorite is probably Re-Gift Amumu, though I’m really digging Reindeer Kog’Maw and Nutcracko is great (despite the fact that more people will think his name is Shacko and not Shayco). As for Cassiopeia, she’s getting a western skin and a siren skin, both of which seem appropriate.

      These should all be available with the patch, though there aren’t any patch notes up yet, nor is there a server status message. We might be waiting until Wednesday.

      Udyr and Singed getting mid-cycle skins

      This patch cycle has just two unannounced skins: Surfer Singed and Primal Udyr. Personally, I’m excited for an Udyr skin that makes him look like more than just your average grocery-bag-wearing hobo (though, come to think of it, Hobo Udyr could be cool – rat form, cockroach form, mangy dog form, and pigeon form). I am a little worried that this will be Udyr’s legendary, because it includes some forum references and new models for each of his forms. Anyway, this is what we’re looking at for next week.

      Irelia patch skins announced

      The announcement post for the Irelia release skins is live, giving us a sneak peek at tomorrow’s additions to the store. There’s some good stuff this go round, though my favorite has to be Monarch Kog’Maw. That’s just hilarious. For existing toons you can also get Feral Warwick and Secret Agent Miss Fortune.

      Looks like Irelia is getting the 975 RP treatment, and surprisingly, it’s her Aviator skin that will be 975, not the Nightblade. I’d imagine you’ll see a ton of ninjaesque Irelias running around tomorrow.

      Hextech Singed, Galio and Scuba Gragas on sale this weekend

      Hell to the yeah. I’ve been waiting for a sale on Hextech Singed since the day that skin came out. There are very few skins that I’m willing to pay 975 for – Coral Reef Malphite is my most recent exception, but he’s awesome – so it’s nice to see a lot of them hit the 50 percent sale.

      If you’re into Galio or Singed, those skins will run you 487 RP, while Scuba Gragas gets a 75 percent sale at 243 RP.

      Unreleased skins for the LeBlanc patch cycle

      As with every patch, the LeBlanc patch brings some unannounced skins. I’m especially excited to see Malphite getting a respectable skin, though I can tell you right now it’s probably not worth 975. As with most mid-cycle skins, I’ll be waiting for a sale.

      I’m not sure why the Janna skin is called Hextech Janna. Some Weird Science reference? The Kennen skin looks pretty great as well. Look for these some time over the weekend.
