USPS worker steals 2200 games from GameFly
A former Philly mail-handler has been confirmed to be a complete moron. Reginald Johnson admitted to stealing some 2200 GameFly games from Philadelphia addressees before they could be delivered. Johnson’s now facing 12-18 in prison.
I’d love to know how this guy thought he would get away with it. The court valued the merchandise around $84,000, which is pretty noticeable on a merchandise loss report. Add to it the fact that he’s stealing from residents in the very city where he works. Wouldn’t that be the first place GameFly might look? Why not steal from people whose mail goes through several destinations before reaching them. C’mon man, haven’t you seen Catch Me If You Can?
For Johnson’s arrest, police chased him from work until he crashed his SUV, wherein the cops found a duffel with 81 games and another 79 games in the vehicle, along with several consoles and few accessories with receipts from Gamestop.
