Will the Blood Lord skin resurrect Vlad?
Vladimir has been a hot topic of discussion since release. Even today, when I rarely see him picked, there are still forum threads on a near daily basis wondering when he’ll be buffed, when he’ll return to viability, why he isn’t viable now, and so on. I know CC is all the rage these days, especially when it comes to AP carries, so where is Vlad’s place?
I still occasionally see Vlad do well when his team has enough crowd control to make up for his own shortcomings. He has to be careful, though. Against a strong AP with a stun, Vlad is susceptible to ganks, despite his pool. If he can be forced to burn his Flash early, Vlad’s health costs work against him early, leaving him open for ganks.
As many Rioters have pointed out, many of the solutions to Vlad’s problems are problems in themselves. Fixing health costs may improve his early game, but give him more damage or survivability and we could be rushing back toward the old days of Vlad.
For now, it looks like Vlad fans will have to settle for a legendary skin. Honestly, I can’t say I’ll mind seeing Vlad in a few games sometime soon. Sure beats Morgana.

I think they shouldn’t have hit the cooldown and scaleing on his Q at the same time, the two tend to magnify eachother, imagine if infinity edge lost 10 AD and in the same patch phantom dancer lost 15% attackspeed. your DPS with that particular combo would plummet. Thats what they did to vlads Q now that also compounds with the % bonus damage on his ult, back to the inifnity edge analagy 10 less AD means 25 less damage on crits.
but hey what do I know about AP ratios I’m not on the balance team.
i think if vlad needs anything its a change to his troll pool, its not that helpful outside of makeing the enemy team rage, and its HP cost is huge, makeing something that scales a little better offensivly with some kind of movement utility could realy help vlad perform better and make playing against him less of a hassle in the early game.
if they do a significant rework on vlad my wishlist is makeing him jungle viable that yummy lifesteal, all i have to pick from is amumu, fiddle, and chogath if the team needs more magic damage, most of the time I just pick pheonix udyr and call it close enouph.
Honestly,jungle Vlad sounds pretty dumb.I heard something about a rework,and all I hope is they keep transfusion and that awesome heartbeat sound it makes once in a while,and sanguine pool because it’s just so awesome.
