Are you playing Summoner’s Rift?

This may seem like a foolish question to ask, but there’s a reason I ask. When Dominion first launched to beta I was playing the hell out of it. Part of my fascination was obviously the fact that we finally had something new in front of our faces to play with. The other part, which actually took a couple play sessions to recognize, was that I always had a full group of people to play with. It was never hard to find four other people who would get on voice chat and try a little capture and hold.
Just three days since the new mode launched, though, I’m already having trouble putting together a Dominion group and frankly, Dominion just isn’t that fun without a premade group. It can often be particularly unfun, even more so than Summoner’s Rift. So I’m bouncing back and forth a bit. I’m playing ranked games here and there with some friends in duo queue. I’m hitting Dominion when I have three or more friends ready to play.
What about you? Are you still playing Summoner’s Rift? Are you totally wrapped up in Dominion? Are you boycotting Dominion for some reason? Do you play Dominion with less than three people? Let me know in the comments.

After playing alot of dominion i know why i fell in love with Summoner’s Rift. Dominion may be alot of fun but people make alot more mistakes cause if u die, u have to wait so little time to be up again, it feels like you dont get penalized for making a mistake. While on Summoner’s Rift u realize how fun and how fullfiling is to tryhard and be good at the game.
Probably this gonna happen in Dominion when pro teams create a viable meta for this type of gameplay but until then, atleast for me, Dominion will be just a “anti-tryhard” mode.
I have not been playing a whole lot of Summoners Rift lately. Summoners Rift never really fit my life schedule because the games are way too long. Not to sound important, but I’m a busy man and between work and family I cannot dedicate an hour plus to Summoners Rift. While not all Summoners Rift games last an hour, they easily can. Dominion is swift and to-the-point and well suited for me.
Ranked SR all the way personally
. But dominion is def a fun way to just good off with some friends cuz there a lot less penalties associated with it. Dying isn’t a big deal and there isn’t a big 20min farm fest. Dominion should definitively be played as pre-made only
yeah like tr3mor, I’ve got stuff going on; SR does take a huge amount of time sometimes, in pre-mades (only kind of games worth playing) my friends are really great at the laning phase, but warding enemy jungle and smashing their towers? nah lets just chase them lane to lane for 50 minutes or until they give up, whichever’s faster.
I’m not even playing League of Legends anymore. I got one game of Dominion in a few days ago. It seemed fun.
The 4th quarter release fest of AAA game titles is upon us, and I’m definitely at the point where I can barely keep up with the games I want to play. Currently working my way through Dead Island. Witcher 2 just went on sale, so that is sitting on my hard drive for whenever I finish my current game. Rage comes out on Tuesday, so that’ll last me till November, I’m sure. Then Skyrim comes out, that’ll keep me till Christmas at the least. Diablo 3 will come out shortly after that, and I have at least 5 games on my wishlist for the usual Steam Xmas discount sale (Space Marine, Spaz, Limbo, Dungeon Defenders, M and M 6, etc).
Zero time for LoL till at least Spring of next year. Still read the blog though!
@Madman, looks like my old community (since about 2002) will be getting back on the FPS horse with BF3. I’m curious to see how long they will last, but regardless I will be giving it a try.
Also, I was just about the biggest Q2 fan there ever was. I loved that game, and it is what drew me into competitive play for games. That said, Rage just doesn’t look like it will suit me. I still want to give it a try, but I probably won’t do so until they drastically lower the price.
